  1. About

Vision and mission

Haven was established over 40-years ago as an independent charity delivering specialist services to children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

We are the only charity in Sheffield fulfilling this role, providing a range of needs-led services to children and young people aged 0 – 25 years old and their wider family. Inclusive practice is at the heart of everything we do and we are passionate about supporting all children and young people that have experienced domestic abuse, and their families.

We develop bespoke programmes that recognise the impact of the abuse and the challenges this places on the children and young people's ability to engage and recover.

All our work is underpinned using a trauma informed approach.

Our vision is:

A world free from domestic abuse where children and young people are safe, and their voices are heard.

Our mission is to:

Influence, develop and provide specialist support services for children, young people and their families at risk of or affected by domestic abuse.
